How to Enable Microsoft NetMeeting in Windows XP?

Solution of this error is easy...no need to format or repair.
Follow this steps and resolve your problem...

- Need a Windows XP boot cd
- select first boot device Cd\Dvd rom and Boot your system with the XP cd .
- Once in the Setup, choose to run the Recovery Console.Using Press "R" key.
- Type 1 and enter, give the administrator password if administrator
account password protect or leave blank and press enter .
-Type the following commands.

: md tmp
: copy C:\windows\system32\config\system C:\windows\tmp\system.bak
after successfully copied type
: delete C:\windows\system32\config\system
then
: copy C:\windows\repair\system C:\windows\system32\config\system

Now reboot the computer.

if it doesn't boot, get back into the Recovery Console and run
the following commands.

: md tmp
: copy C:\windows\system32\config\software C:\windows\tmp\software.bak
: delete C:\windows\system32\config\software
: copy C:\windows\repair\software C:\windows\system32\config\software

Now reboot again and hopefully your problem will be fixed. Good luck.

To enable NetMeeting, perform the following steps:

Go to the Start menu and select Run.

Type command CONF then click on ok.

After the NetMeeting configuration wizard starts, click Next.
Enter your personal details and click Next.
Select listing directory options and click Next.
Select your connection media and click Next.
Configure the shortcut options to your liking and click Next.
Click Next to configure volume options and Next again to confirm that the microphone works.
Click Finish.
